BCP 200 : Designing & Developing Business Continuity Strategy


This is an intermediate level course suitable for BCM Managers, Coordinators, and BCM Planners who are directly involved in the development of BCM strategies.

In the course, the audience will be guided through the process of conducting risk assessment as part of their business continuity initiative. A methodology will be shared with the audience and examples gives. The audience will also be involved in completing an exercise to further cement their knowledge and understanding.

The audience will also be exposed to the insights of conducting an enterprise wide business impact analysis (BIA). Here, clear explanation will be given on why business impact analysis is important and what are the steps to complete a BIA. Once again examples and exercises will be given to the audience so as they can practice and familiarize themselves with the processes / steps.

We will also cover the process of developing business continuity strategies. We look at several areas namely setting the BCM policies, establishing governance structure & roles and responsibilities, determining standard procedures and guidelines and establishing strategies for maintaining the BCM framework.
